RGG Studio doesn't rule out cancelling the next Virtua Fighter if it's no good

Last December, SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio confirmed the development of a new Virtua Fighter together. And despite a recent teaser , we’ve had little news about the project so far.
In an interview with Famitsu, Masayoshi Yokoyama was quite clear about his teams’ ambitions with this Virtua Fighter. If the quality isn’t up to scratch during development, the game will simply be abandoned.
*"If we feel it’s not good enough, we’ll stop the project halfway through. That’s how serious we are."
Producer Riichirou Yamada backed up these words, declaring that "if Yokoyama decides it has to stop, it really will stop like that^". With this Virtua Fighter, RGG Studio wants to "achieve something that hasn’t been done before".
