Best Overwatch 2 Stadium support builds

Want to know the best Overwatch 2 Stadium support builds? The Stadium game mode has taken the Overwatch 2 player base by storm, but there’s quite a big learning curve to past, even for seasoned veterans. Not only can you play from a third-person perspective, but you also need to think about your character-specific build.

Overwatch 2 Stadium support builds are here, and you need to carefully pick your weapons, items, and abilities while considering your economy. Support characters keep the team alive with their healing abilities, and with the right build, they can also deal a surprising amount of damage. We’re here to break down which Overwatch 2 characters you should use in the multiplayer game along with the best Overwatch 2 Stadium support builds to get you up and running.

Mercy Stadium support build

Our primary goal with Mercy is to keep our teammates alive, but we first need to ensure we have the right tools to maintain our position on the battlefield.

Mercy support build powers

Here are the powers you should aim to pick up as Mercy:

  • Round 1: Renaissance
  • Round 3: Crepuscular Circle
  • Round 5: First Responder
  • Round 7: Distortion

Renaissance allows Mercy to activate Valkyrie mode for five seconds whenever she resurrects an ally. This synergizes extremely well with First Responder, making it possible to swing a losing fight in your team’s direction whenever you bring someone back to life.

First Responder provides you and your ally 250 overhealth for six seconds, just enough time to dip out of the action and return to safety. Mercy and her resurrected teammates are at their most vulnerable right after coming back to life, so this power can be crucial as the rounds progress.

Arguably the most important power in Mercy’s arsenal, Crepuscular Circle gives her the ability to heal and provide a damage boost to multiple allies at once. There is a slight downside in that it requires you to be in Valkyrie mode to do so, but our powers from the early rounds address this problem.

Next up is Distortion, an especially useful power when paired alongside strong teammates as it provides them with 20% Lifesteal whenever they’re buffed with Mercy’s staff.

Mercy support build items

As with all the items in these builds, you need to analyze the situation you’re in before spending your hard-earned money. For example, if you’re regularly being targeted by DPS heroes, you might want to prioritize items with a healing or armor effect before picking up additional buffs for your weapon.

Here are the items you should aim to pick as Mercy:

  • Angeleisure Wear – Costs 4,000, Rare, Survival
  • Long Distance Wings – Costs 4,000, Rare, Ability
  • Caduceus Ex – Costs 10,000, Epic, Weapon
  • Chain Evoker – Costs 10,000, Epic, Survival
  • Martian Mender – Costs 10,000, Epic, Survival
  • Resurrection Rangefinder – Costs 10,000, Epic, Ability

Angeleisure Wear and Long Distance Wings make it easy to zoom through the battlefield by improving Guardian Angel’s range, and it also activates Mercy’s passive healing whenever you fly towards an ally or float in the air using Angelic Descent. Martian Mender also improves Mercy’s healing abilities, restoring 3% of her health every second to enhance her survivability.

Resurrecting allies is one of our key objectives, so Resurrection Rangefinder is perfect as it not only reduces the cooldown, but also increases the resurrection range to give you a better chance at avoiding conflict during this crucial time. Caduceus Ex and Chain Evoker drastically upgrade Mercy’s staff, improving the range of the beam, as well as the damage boost capabilities. Chain Evoker also provides Mercy with a helpful 50 armor boost, and the 15% extra ultimate charge from using damage boost lets us trigger Valkyrie mode more often.

Moira Stadium support build

Moira is a frustrating hero to fight against because she’s able to deal minor amounts of damage while performing her healing duties. Our Moira support build increases her damage without sacrificing any healing output, making her even more annoying to deal with.

Moira support build powers

Here are the powers you should aim to pick up as Moira:

  • Round 1: Deconstruction
  • Round 3: Chain Grasp
  • Round 5: Cross-Orbal
  • Round 7: Ethereal Excision

The trick to mastering Moira with this support build is to know when to go on the offensive. By picking Deconstruction as your first power, you gain a 20% damage boost for six seconds after you spend 50 Biotic Energy. Remember, this applies to both your healing and damage output, so you’re going to trigger this effect regularly.

Chain Grasp adds to your damage output whenever you first off a Biotic Orb, enhancing Biotic Grasp by allowing it to chain to two additional targets within 10m for three seconds.

Speaking of Biotic Orbs, Cross-Orbal gives this ability a massive buff every time you fire one off by producing a second Biotic Orb of the other type, albeit at half the capacity. This effect has a slight delay on it, allowing you to send the orbs in two different directions, perfect for when your team and the opposition are split apart.

We’re finishing the build off with Ethereal Excision which may seem like a strange addition as it focuses on Biotic Grasp’s secondary fire, but this will make more sense when you see the items we’ve selected.

Moira support build items

Here are the items you should aim to pick as Moira:

  • Champion’s Kit – Costs 13,500, Epic, Ability
  • Three-Tap Tommygun – Costs 9,500, Epic, Ability
  • Mark of the Kitsune – Costs 11,000, Epic, Ability
  • Eye of the Spider – Costs 13,500, Epic, Weapon
  • Codebreaker – Costs 9,000, Epic, Ability
  • El-Sa’ka Suppressor – Costs 11,500, Epic, Ability

Ability power is essential for Moira, which is why we’ve gone for Champion’s Kit to increase this stat by 40%. Likewise, Three-Tap Tommygun improves on Moira’s ability power and attack speed by 10%, while giving her a damage boost after using an ability. Similarly, Mark of the Kitsune also gives Moira 10% ability power and deals 25 bonus damage or healing, depending on which ability you use next.

Moira is good at picking off damaged enemies with her Biotic Orbs, so select Eye of the Spider to increase her weapon power by 25% and deal an additional 10% to enemies below 30% life. Codebreaker is excellent against armored opponents as it ignores 50% of armor damage reduction, perfect against tanks like Reinhardt, while also providing a 15% weapon power boost.

Once you’ve acquired Ethereal Excision, you need to pair it with El-Sa’ka Suppressor to see its full potential. El-Sa’ka Suppressor hits your opponents with a 30% healing reduction for two seconds, and it also comes with a bonus effect. Ethereal Excision requires you to aim for the head to trigger its effect, but this item seems to trigger a critical hit without needing to target enemy heads.

Those are the best Overwatch 2 Stadium support builds we have so far, but stay tuned as we’ll be adding more to this list over the coming weeks. As you can see, the Overwatch 2 tier list doesn’t apply in this mode due to the builds system, but it’s still handy to see who’s dominating in the free PC game’s primary competitive modes.
