Bend Studio Reportedly Has “Multiple” Cancelled and Unannounced Projects

Spare a thought for Syphon Filter and Days Gone developer Bend Studio. After the former launched to positive (but not overwhelmingly great) critical reactions, it would work on an open-world live-service multiplayer title that was cancelled earlier this year. However, that may not be the only project it shelved.
As discovered by Timur222, the LinkedIn profile of game designer Jacob Feith indicates “multiple cancelled/unannounced projects.” He was responsible for creating open-world events and missions, prototyping events, puzzles, and systems, collaborating with animators for in-game cinematics, and much more.
Given that he’s been working at the studio since 2019, which is when Days Gone launched, you have to wonder how many projects have been left by the wayside. While 30 percent of Bend Studio’s staff has allegedly faced layoffs, the “unannounced” part gives some hope that it’s working on something new.
Bend Studio’s last project was Days Gone Remastered – you can check out our review here. Neither Sony nor the developer have confirmed anything new, though the latter committed to “creating cool s***” after its live service project’s cancellation.
