Battlefield 6 Will Have 40+ Weapons at Launch, DICE Confirms

Battlefield 6 has finally been revealed, and more importantly, it has a release date of October 10th (and no $80 price either). An open beta will go live on August 9th to 10th and August 14th to 17th, and promises to be the most “expansive Battlefield Open Beta ever.”
Granted, nothing is known about the actual content, beyond a “number of maps, modes, and features,” including the option to play with Closed Weapons (i.e. class-restricted guns). DICE producer Alexia Christofi confirmed that a “reduced set” of weapons is available, but these will be “less than we’ll have at launch.”
When Battlefield 6 is available, players will have over 40 weapons to choose from. Each comes with a base amount of attachments, but as you level up a weapon, more options become available. Christofi also revealed that the full release features more vehicles, though the specifics are yet to be detailed.
Battlefield 6 is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC (with a Switch 2 release currently not planned). Check out the PC requirements here, and learn more about multiplayer, including Portal, here.
