AYANEO has announced the Flip 1S DS, a dual-screen console with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU
AYANEO has announced an update to its Flip DS handheld console, this one with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU, which will succeed the current versions equipped with Ryzen 7 8840U and 7840U.
The new APU is upgraded to 12 Zen5c cores and 16 RDNA 3.5 compute units, compared with 8 Zen4 cores and 12 RDNA 3 units previously. The console retains its dual-screen format, rare on the market due to ergonomic and power consumption constraints.
The current model features a 45 Wh battery, well below the 80 Wh of the MSI Claw or ROG Ally. It remains to be seen whether the HX 370 model will benefit from an improved battery or cooling, but any major changes seem unlikely.
AYANEO has yet to reveal the final design, full specifications or price. The current Flip model starts at $930, and the HX 370 version is unlikely to be any cheaper.
