ASUS reportedly mentions the Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series with 96 cores

It seems ASUS has mentioned he Ryzen Threadripper 9000 series, codenamed Shimada Peak, in the description of its PRO WS TRX50 SAGE motherboard. This new Zen 5 series is said to use the same sTR5 socket as the Threadripper 7000 series, and to be compatible with existing motherboards.
The maximum configuration is said to reach 96 cores, information that has only been confirmed through leaks. Two ranges are planned: a PRO version for workstations and another for enthusiasts.
The launch of the Threadripper 9000 could be announced at Computex 2025, where AMD is said to be planning a presentation of new products for the gaming and professional markets.
