*Get ready for another stylish mystery, this time with an Italian twist, as Amazon Prime Video has just released the official trailer for “Another Simple Favor,” the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 black comedy-thriller “A Simple Favor”.
Directed once again by Paul Feig, the film sees the return of Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively as the unlikely duo caught in yet another web of secrets, style, and scandal. The new chapter whisks viewers away from small-town suburbia to the stunning island of Capri, Italy, where Emily is planning a lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman. But in true “Simple Favor” fashion, not everything is as idyllic as it seems. As the trailer teases, the chic celebration quickly unravels into a hot mess of murder, betrayal, and perfectly timed one-liners.
Alongside Kendrick and Lively, the star-studded ensemble includes Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Elena Sofia Ricci, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney.
Written by Jessica Sharzer (who penned the original screenplay) and Laeta Kalogridis, and produced by Feig and Laura Fischer, the sequel promises to deliver even more of the sharp wit, unexpected twists, and high-fashion chaos that defined the original.
