AMD's RX 9060 XT could come out in May

AMD is set to announce a new mid-range graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, in the near future. The launch could take place around Computex, with a release two weeks later, according to insider Hoang Anh Phu.

The card would be based on the Navi 44 GPU, more compact than the Navi 48 of the RX 9070, and would aim for moderate power consumption (recommended power supply 500 to 550W), using an 8-pin connector. There are two variants being rumored: 16 GB and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at 20 GB/s.

The RX 9060 XT is said to feature a higher boost frequency than the RX 9070, with a difference of up to 700 MHz. This increase is intended to compensate for a limited memory gain over the RX 7600 (18 Gbps).

AMD could adjust its price positioning in response to NVIDIA’s RTX 5060 Ti.
