Ahead of its new DLC underrated FPS Robocop Rogue City hits its lowest price yet

Finding itself between the shooter action of games like Doom and the dystopian atmosphere of Cyberpunk 2077, Robocop: Rogue City is a great game that thrives off of this delightful combo of genres. A videogame based on an ’80s movie, which was revived with a terrible reboot back in the 2010s, Robocop’s latest adventure had the odds stacked against it, yet it’s a brilliant shooter that you should grab while it’s at its lowest price ever.
When it comes to the best FPS games on PC, most people will probably think of the usual heavy hitters like Call of Duty, Valorant, or Counter-Strike 2, and of course, the smash-hits that only come along every few years, like Doom. However, Robocop: Rogue City’s solid foundations and faithful recreation of the movie’s vibes not only make for a great game, but one that’s got a lot of cheesy charm too.
This PC game takes place after the events of the original 1987 movie and Robocop 2, following police officer-turned-cyborg Alex Murphy in a dystopian version of Detroit. Overrun with crime, gangs, and the like, you’re tasked with the difficult job of wiping out the nastiest individuals from the city’s criminal underbelly. If that wasn’t enough, you’ve also got Murphy’s struggles with resurfacing memories from his pre-robo life.
As you can imagine, this means you’ll end up in a lot of intense shootouts with Detroit’s biggest wrongdoers. You’ve got your trusty Auto 9 gun to help with that (Robocop’s iconic weapon of choice), or you can just make do with the weapons dropped by your slain foes, which will often pack a little more punch. You can also fling around barrels for explosive finishes, or use the felons as human shields, because what’s more ’80s than a disregard for human life?

I was seriously impressed with how much I enjoyed this FPS gem, but it’s not just me who was pleasantly surprised, as Jack Ridsdale said in our Robocop: Rogue City review “[the game] captures the essence of the ’80s classic with over-the-top gunplay and a surprisingly engaging storyline influenced by player choice.”
It’s also a great time to enjoy one of the more underrated action-adventure games in recent years, as Robocop: Rogue City’s Unfinished Business standalone expansion is releasing in July 2025. While you don’t need the base game to enjoy the upcoming story, you’ll definitely miss out on a lot of context and background if you skip out on Rogue City.
Either way, Robocop: Rogue City is a brutal and exhilarating action game that you shouldn’t pass up on, especially when it’s going for just $8.49 / £7.64 on Fanatical. That’s a whopping 83% off the usual price, and if you own Valve’s handheld, it’s also one of the best Steam Deck games. However, you’ll need to be quick, as this deal runs out on Sunday, June 1, 2025.
After enjoying Robocop’s blockbuster action, make sure to take a look at our list of upcoming PC games, which has plenty of our most anticipated games for 2025. However, just make sure your PC matches or is above the Robocop Rogue City system requirements before buying the game, although the minimum settings are fairly generous.
