Here’s a new controversy surrounding the use of generative AI for Activision. The American company has just announced a new Guitar Hero for mobile via an advert on Instagram.
This prompted many reactions, mainly about the use of gen-AI to create the main art of the game. This can be seen in the strange shapes of the instruments used by the musicians and the speakers. The four artists also display a similar posture.
Surprisingly, apart from this ad, Activision has not openly communicated about this Guitar Hero for smartphones and tablets. We can only assume that this initial backlash will prompt the publisher to quickly review its strategy.
