Valve has fixed the Steam Deck startup and performance problems caused by an update

Valve has released a hotfix for its Steam Deck after the previous version caused startup loops on some devices and disabled TDP and GPU frequency settings.
The initial update, rolled out on April 1, aimed to fix minor bugs, improve downloads and resolve issues with DualSense controllers.
Users reported on Reddit and GitHub that the update caused a few problems, including the disappearance of performance settings. Valve says it republished the client the same day with a patch, and a similar version was released on the beta channel.
