*SZA recently took to Instagram to criticize Shannon Sharpe after he asked a “tacky” question about her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) during an episode of his popular podcast, Club Shay Shay.
The incident occurred on March 11, when SZA responded to a conversation Sharpe had with singer Coco Jones, where he brought up the singer’s body transformation. Jones responded diplomatically, avoiding a direct comment on SZA, who expressed appreciation for Jones’ professionalism in a social media comment. Despite this, SZA wasn’t pleased with the question itself and made her feelings known.
In a playful yet pointed Instagram comment, SZA questioned, “Why would this be a question for Coco?”
She went on to praise Jones for handling the situation well but didn’t hold back her criticism of Sharpe’s inquiry.
“Poor baby, she handled it well now, Shay Shay,” she remarked.
The Kill Bill singer followed up with another comment, calling Sharpe’s question “incredibly tacky.” SZA added, “I wanted to come [on your show] too,” before concluding with a casual, “Dah, well.”
This back-and-forth marks the latest in a series of instances where celebrities have used social media to express their frustrations with questions or topics brought up in public interviews.
