The Hill And NewsNation Plan Summit Tied To Trump’s First Six Months

Nexstar’s The Hill and NewsNation are planning an all-day summit next week tied to the first six months of Donald Trump‘s term.

House Speaker Mike Johnson will be among the participants in the July 16 event, called the Hill Nation Summit. It will be held from 8 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET.

Among the others in the lineup are White House Senior Counselor Peter Navarro; Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA); David Hogg, former vice chair of the Democratic National Committee; Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler; former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy; Bo Hines, executive director of the White House Council on Digital Assets; Rep. Lisa McLain (R-MI); Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-FL); Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA); Rep. Kevin Hern (R-OK); Rep. John James (R-MI); Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH); and Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA). Per NewsNation, more names are still to be confirmed, with the final list expected to have a bipartisan balance.

The event will take place before a live audience, streamed on TheHill.com and available on The Hill TV’s fast channel. NewsNation also will feature coverage throughout the day, starting with Morning in America at 6 a.m. ET, which will be co-hosted by Markie Martin in Chicago and The Hill host Blake Burman at the event. Burman will do a recap on The Hill at 6 p.m., and Chris Cuomo will feature guests on his 8 p.m. ET show.

Among those participating in the discussions will be Bill Sammon, senior vice president of editorial content for The Hill and NewsNation, Washington bureau chief Mike Viqueira, national political correspondent Julia Manchester, White House correspondent Alex Gangitano, congressional reporters Mychael Schnell and Emily Brooks, Senate reporter Alex Bolton, senior political correspondent Amie Parnes, The Hill and NewsNation politics editor Chris Stirewalt, NewsNation chief political anchor Leland Vittert, Burman, White House correspondent Kellie Meyer, congressional reporter Joe Khalil and political contributor Chris Cillizza.

NewsNation will offer special coverage of the summit throughout the day, beginning with Morning in America at 6 a.m. ET, which will be co-hosted by Markie Martin in Chicago and Mr. Burman live from the event. At 6 p.m. ET on The Hill, Mr. Burman will recap the major highlights and the day’s top speakers while anchor Chris Cuomo will be joined by special guests on CUOMO at 8 p.m. ET.

The entire summit will be livestreamed on TheHill.com and available on The Hill TV’s Fast Channel.
