Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.4 arriving next month alongside Fate/Stay Night collab

With the upcoming launch of their cafe in Berlin (yes, really), MiHoYo are still pushing ahead with some amazing new updates for their suite of popular releases. Case in point, Version 3.4 of Honkai: Star Rail is set to arrive on July 2nd! What’s included? Well, only a teensy tiny crossover with one of the most popular anime series of all time.
But to start in Version 3.4, For the Sun is set to Die, you’ll be able to recruit the brand new character, Phainon. Fans who have been following recent story events will be glad to see him join the playable roster as he’s been a crucial part of the Trailblazer’s journey.
Phainon is no less crucial on the battlefield, as his combat style is based on accruing an expendable currency called Coreflames. Accumulate enough and he’ll unleash his Ultimate and transform, creating a Territory that boots other characters from the battlefield but maintains their bonuses as he takes on the enemy in a powerful new form.
Draw and loose
Yes, there’s plenty here to enjoy for longtime Honkai: Star Rail fans. But there’s something else on the horizon as Phainon will be joined by two even more significant new characters as the iconic faces of Saber and Archer from Fate/Stay Night join the lineup.
Originating from the popular multimedia series, once the collaboration event kicks off on July 11th, you’ll be able to log in and receive the five-star Archer for free. Worthwhile enough that even those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of watching Fate/Stay Night before can benefit.
