The Rematch devs apologize for the lack of crossplay

Rematch is now available on all platforms, and has so far received mostly positive reviews on Steam. However, some players have expressed disappointment at the absence of crossplay.

Indeed, Sloclap announced just a few days before the launch that the ability to play with friends on other platforms would not be available immediately. The French studio received a great deal of criticism on this subject, and had to explain itself at greater length.

"We know that many of you were eager to play Rematch on all platforms as soon as it was released. We did everything we could to include crossplay at launch, but Rematch is the studio’s first crossplay title. As a result, we had to deal with some unforeseen technical issues that prevented us from having this feature ready in time."

"We should have communicated as soon as it became clear that crossplay would not be available at launch, and we apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused some of our players."

Sloclap added that the roll-out of crossplay is obviously one of its priorities. The developers will also be improving Rematch‘s overall performance and fixing issues such as server disconnects, as well as bugs and stability problems.
