Jax’s Decision to Step Back from Social Media –

The Valley star Jax Taylor has revealed that he is taking a break from social media to protect his mental health following major backlash from viewers.

“I’ve made the decision to stay off social media for the next while to prioritize my mental health and recovery. My team will be running it for the time being,” he wrote.

He also addressed the hiatus on a recent episode of his In the Mind of Jax Taylor podcast.

“My brain is so fragile, and if I see certain things, they might trigger me,” he said. “Something might hit a chord, and I don’t think I’m strong enough to read certain things. For me to grow and get better and be a better person, there are some things I need to see in order to know what’s going on but I think I took it so much to the extreme of blocking everything and living in my own little world.”

Taylor has been receiving backlash for his financially abusive treatment of his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright. Last week, it was revealed that he intentionally stopped making payments toward their mortgage in retaliation for her moving on and did not inform her, leaving her with almost $100,000 in debt.

Taylor denied the allegations, claiming that he paid the mortgage in full while in rehab and signed the home over to her.

She also shared that he is refusing to give up his portion of their podcast, despite agreeing to do so.

“Now he’s taking the longest time ever to sign over the RSS feed, because it’s worth a lot of money. And he is just holding [it] over my head, every little thing I do,” she explained.

The Valley airs Tuesday on Bravo at 9/8c and streams the following day on Peacock.
