Diddy accused of dangling woman from balcony in 2016
*In New York at the Sean “Diddy” Combs trial, a friend of Cassie Ventura gave disturbing testimony in court on Wednesday, claiming Diddy nearly dropped her from a high-rise balcony. Bryana Bongolan, a close friend of Ventura, said she was at Cassie’s Los Angeles apartment in September 2016 when Diddy showed up and barged in.
“He came behind me and lifted me up and had me on top of the rail,” Bongolan testified. “For a second, I thought I was going to fall.” She described the moment as terrifying and said he held her up there for 10 to 15 seconds while yelling at her for reasons she didn’t understand, NBC News is reporting.
More violent claims surface in Diddy court battle
Bongolan also told the court that Diddy once threw a knife toward Ventura during an argument. Ventura threw it back, but neither of them was hit. In another chilling incident, Bongolan said Diddy told her, “I am the devil and I can kill you,” while allegedly high on cocaine.
During cross-examination, defense attorney Nicole Westmoreland repeatedly challenged Bongolan’s memory. When asked to clarify details of the balcony incident, Bongolan responded several times with, “I don’t remember.”

Hotel video of Diddy assaulting Cassie confirmed authentic
Prosecutors also brought in forensic video expert Frank Piazza to confirm the legitimacy of hotel surveillance footage showing Diddy assaulting Cassie Ventura in 2016. Piazza told the jury that the video had not been altered in any way.
The courtroom watched closely as Piazza broke down the footage frame by frame. Though technical, the repeated viewing of Diddy’s violent behavior could have a strong emotional effect on the jury.
Video plays key role in sex trafficking and racketeering case
Diddy hasn’t been charged with the assault shown in the video. Still, the footage is a critical part of the prosecution’s case. Prosecutors argue that Diddy used violence to prevent Ventura from leaving a sex-fueled event referred to as a “freak off.”
They claim this supports the charge of sex trafficking, as the encounter involved coercion. A hotel security officer previously testified that Diddy paid $100,000 in cash to hide the video, which prosecutors say supports racketeering charges.
Diddy watches footage closely, legal access debated
Inside the courtroom, Diddy was seen watching the jury and the monitors intently as the video played. His legal team also raised concerns to Judge Arun Subramanian about not being able to reach him by phone during the night hours. Defense lawyer Xavier Donaldson called the communication barrier “unacceptable.” Judge Subramanian agreed to reach out to the jail to fix the issue.

New accuser “Jane” set to testify next in Diddy trial
As the trial continues Thursday, prosecutors are expected to call a major witness. Known only as “Jane,” she is identified as “Victim-2” in the indictment and claims she was forced into commercial sex acts.
Jane is expected to testify over several days, providing more insight into Diddy’s alleged abuse, coercion, and control over women in his inner circle.
Her appearance could be one of the most pivotal moments of the trial.
Why this Diddy trial testimony matters right now
This week’s testimony paints a troubling picture of Diddy’s behavior behind closed doors. Between violent outbursts, drug use, and alleged threats, jurors are hearing claims that could deeply damage the music mogul’s legacy.
With more witnesses and evidence to come, this trial may become one of the most closely watched celebrity cases in recent history. Fans, critics, and the music industry alike are waiting to see how it all unfolds.
