90 Day Diaries Season 6, Episode 2 Recap: David and Annie Start IVF

From welcoming a new baby to embarking on unexpected career paths, the journey isn’t over for some TLC couples — even after their 90-day visa timelines have ended. Episode 2 of 90 Day Diaries season 6 checked in on some fan-favorite 90 Day Fiancé stars as they navigated life’s latest twists.
90 Day Fiance’s Annie and David Start the IVF Process
90 Day Fiancé fan-favorite couple David Toborowsky and Annie Toborowsky had babies on the brain and documented the process of building a family together.
David is a father of three kids from a previous relationship, and the self-shot spinoff followed the couple as they traveled to California, where David was set to undergo a “sperm extraction.” After the birth of his son, he underwent a vasectomy and after looking into the process, a vasectomy reversal surgery was “virtually impossible.”
“Because it’s been 24 years and the scar tissue buildup would not allow for a proper reversal,” he explained to the camera. “Doctor said there’s one of two places that we can get the sperm from, either the epididymis or the ball sacks. You really want it from the epididymis because they don’t have to cut into your balls and it’s less painful. Let’s hope they can do it from the epididymis.”
The operation appeared to be a success, with the doctor confirming to the couple that four viable embryos had been created after fertilizing Annie’s eggs with David’s sperm.
One week later, Annie and David traveled to New Jersey for his niece’s wedding, where they told his family about the IVF process.
“I did not want to miss the opportunity to be a mom,” Annie explained.
David’s son, Jacob, concerned about his father’s health, expressed his worries about the demands of raising a new baby and reminded him of his past absence during his own childhood.
“My childhood with my father was very distant. I mean, the few times that I would see him, it would be maybe an hour or two and I wouldn’t see him for months on ends,” Jacob explained. “So I do have concerns with my father raising the child. Words can only mean so much. He can say he wants to do better, He can do better, but you got to prove it.”
Although David’s family had their hesitations, David and Annie took the plunge and went forward with the embryo transfer. Four weeks later, Annie learned that she was pregnant as a result of the procedure.
90 Day Fiance’s Guillermo and Kara Aren’t Aligned on Their Future
It’s been a while since 90 Day Fiancé fans checked in with season 9 couple Guillermo Rojer and Kara Bass. After tying the knot in 2021, the couple had been married for three years and were now raising their 20-month-old son, Nico.
Kara juggled being a realtor and stay-at-home mother to their son while Guillermo managed a nearby hotel. “Usually, Guillermo’s at work all day, but even when he’s around to help with Nico, I do feel like I’m bearing the brunt of everything,” she confessed to the cameras.
Guillermo admitted he was struggling to balance his full-time job, marriage and fatherhood. He confessed that he sometimes brought “work stress” home and acknowledged that he needed to make a change.”
Kara and Guillermo went on a romantic kayaking date in hopes of reconnecting, where the dad of one dropped a major bombshell.
“The past few weeks have been tough between us and I’ve made a big change in my life. And honestly, I don’t know how she is going to take it,” he teased in a confessional before revealing he quit his job to pursue becoming a pilot.
Kara was upset to find out that Guillermo had already put in his two weeks’ notice at his job and planned to take out a loan to pursue the new career field.
“I’m furious because he is one of the two people contributing to our household and the only one that has given our family insurance,” Kara explained. “And so for him to make this decision without consulting his wife or at least talking about it, it is shocking.”
After their fight at the lake, Guillermo convinced Kara to at least take an informational tour at a local pilot school. There, the pair met with an instructor and learned that the training could cost between $45,000 and $50,000.
“I’m so not convinced that this is the right career path for Guillermo. I’m worried about the money and I’m worried about the time away from our family. But he’s my husband and I love him, and I feel like I don’t have any choice but to support him,” she explained while telling her husband that he was living in a “fairy tale.”
90 Day Fiance’s Emily and Kobe Finally Moved Out
During their 90 Day Fiancé return, Emily Bieberly and Kobe Blaise revealed they finally moved out of her parents’ home and into a property of their own!

To mark the occasion, the couple — now parents of four — hosted a “born house” celebration at their home, which is a traditional Cameroonian party. Although Emily was stressed about the event since she knew little about the nature of the party, the couple successfully hosted the function.
