Third-party Switch 2 games are closer to PS4

The Digital Foundry channel has analyzed in detail several titles that will be released on Nintendo Switch this year, carrying out several comparations for these games with their equivalents on other platforms.
Let’s start with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which comes close to matching the PS4 version in both definition and image quality. The lighting improvements made to the Intergrade version on PS5 are included, resulting in a more flattering rendering than on the PlayStation 4.
For its part, Hogwarts Legacy on Switch 2 does even better than on PS4 despite its lower definition. The image is sharper and less jagged. Nintendo’s console seems to have opted for a scaling solution offering better overall quality.
Finally, Elden Ring is the closest of the three games to the PS4 graphics. Definition is similar, but display distance and shadow distance are superior. Digital Foundry points out that comparison with FromSoftware’s production is made difficult by the poor quality of the images supplied by Nintendo.
